I was at Target today and was amazed that they had all of their Back-To-School stuff already layed out. Not even mid July, and they're pushing their trapper keepers and #2 pencils. I figured, if they can do it, I can too! So while you're kids are going to school, so will you! On Sept 1st, we'll have our very first class on Inkscape. It will work much the same way as the GIMP class. The class will be 4 weeks long with lessons twice a week (Tuesdays and Thursdays). It will include video instruction, written instruction and any source material. Naturally, it will be held in the Village University forum where you can get your questions answered. We'll all work on the same pattern together. I'm not sure what we'll work on right now. I'm thinking a potpourri box or trinket box. We'll see, though. Inkscape has a lot of concepts to learn, so I'm hoping we can get through it all in 4 weeks. I'll know better the closer we get. I'm also hoping to pre-record many of these lessons as it almost killed me last time trying to stay on schedule! But it should be fun. Its a great program and lots of fun to learn. Did I mention the program is free? And so is the class! Now that's within my budget!
Travis, After taking your previous tutorials, I can't hardly wait til September!!! ALSO, After watching your tutorials on Inkscape, my wife is now studying the program and she will now take your classes. She is learning Inkscape to help our son in his embroidery business. Keep up the good work Travis, don't know what we would do without you.
I can't wait Travis. I have tried to learn inkscape using the tutorial in the program but after watching your Gimp classes I think I'll like this much better! Thanks for doing this for us.
