  1. I like and I have 2 of the greatest mutts rescued of course, one cat. One yellow canary my grand daughter wanted and now a green canary rescued and 2 parrot rescues one yellow orange Connor and one green ring neck. I started doodling the Connor one day and need to dig that back out to finish the pattern. I did some of the dinasor for the grand-kids but those patterns came out of one of the scroll magazine
  2. Fence looks really good. I have used pallets for years in my scrolling projects, Recently took cedar and restored neighbors old radio flyer rails. No longer have the means to get pallets home sadly.
  3. Well done and yep that is where i get my frames yard sale or thrift store. The only place they are affordable anymore
  4. Who's pattern I want to cut that one
  5. OK Amazingscroller you typed in bump on 2 different post now and I just don't get it. So Whats with the bump? An inquiring mind or mindless
  6. My son is restoring an old farm house in Arkansas. He said Dad would you make us a unique cold air vent cover. I used MS Word and Design from Contemporary celtic motifs, The book came out of Half price books and in the discount section, The book is English and author and artist Alex Sherman. Wood is beechwood and I found out how hard that is. 4 dozen blades and 5 dremel bits. First time doing line carving and maybe the last time
  7. Merry Christmas and a Happy New to you from New Caney Texas
  8. tough blades to get use to and getting correct tension is everything. I really struggled for along time learning the tricks of using them. Nothing easy about them. I really avoid them unless I have a pattern that needs them. really intricate patterns they are easier then all the swinging and turning and a few strings of blue words.
  9. Seyco ad is $899.99 so a nice afternoon drive well worth it. I have a 30 since 2008 and would never consider any thing else, but as goes with any thing its all ones opinion against another. But any thing you need for EX Seyco is a great dealer to work with just plain top notch.
  10. I bought my 30 in 2008 from Seyco, a great dealer to work with. My only problem was the lower clamp would not hold blades he sent me replacement parts no charge. what i really like is no vibration at any speed. And the top feed is great.
  11. Ford Trax I agree with the rest, That came off of my saw before it was even finished assembly Enjoy making sawdust.
  12. I would contact the supplier and let them know. When I had an issue my supplier replaced some of the blades. Most scrollsaw suppliers are fellow cutters and pretty darn good people. But as Multifastied stated hardening process is the most likely culprit
  13. Wow you were lucky with not loosing a finger. I have seen too many severly hurt using the table or radial arm saws. Some in the places I was working. One supervisor had operator take gaurd off so she could make the cuts on plastic part faster. And the most amazing part same operator same supervisor repeated the same mistake a year latter. 3 fingers gone and said she would take gaurd off again because it was just to hard to use machine with it. Some days one has to wonder. Like one of my buddies said after slicing open his hand after chewing his Son out for a finger end loss. Boyo that was stupid on my part both chewing out the kid and then ignoring the safety.
  14. Yes sir you are right not very interesting and would not want it hanging on the wall. Not sure what the ranch raises that the brand is used on but thinking a large instarsia with the animal with the brand showing dominatly would make it allot more interesting. Looking forward to see what you come up with. I am having some of the same problems with gifts for family for Christmas. unfortunetly I do not always sit down and put a brain fart on paper when its fresh. just happened and been trying to find that inspiration once again Good luck Gunner
