  1. I would like to get a 20v pin nailer. The 20v chop saw when it comes out. https://twitter.com/HomeFixated/status/606126244552417280/photo/1
  2. I got the Dewalt DCT410S1 17mm inspection camera today. This will make my job so much easier. If any of you guys have one I would like to know what you think of it.
  3. Thanks guys. I wanted to go cordless because on most job sites there is one double box for 10 or more people. Now I can stay away from that argument.
  4. You are correct there. I will be keeping a close eye on this set and so won't my four other team mates. An a$$ woo-pen might just happen. I do have warning labels on the boxes. They were warned.
  5. After testing many cordless tools I went with the Dewalt 20v tools. Here are some pictures of my new install kit. I chose this hand truck because it has 13" wheels which makes it easier roll over dirt and construction debris. The aluminum cases are filled with 2" marine waterproof rubber foam to protect the tools. My T nailer can be set up for 3/8" to 2-1/4" T nails. You never know when you will need to blast in some concrete nail on a job site. This tool set is expensive and I had to sacrifice a few thing to get it but, This will be the last tool set I will buy so I went all out. Now I just need to figure out a way to keep unwanted fingers away from it.
  6. I'm CROSSING my fingers that you get them done quickly.
  7. Or a lamp or a night light http://www.scrollsawartist.com/images/detailed/2/NL062.png
  8. How about a cookie jar. or a magazine holder.
  9. I attached a fish air pump to my foot pedal so when I press on the pedal to operate the saw the pump turns on as well. The clear hose coming from the pump is 1/4" then I used a clear hose that fit over the 1/4" hose about 1 1/2" long, heated up the end with a lighter and with light pressure pressed it over the plastic hose on the saw. I bought a large aquarium air pump.
  10. We had a couple big jobs making monitor frames for a big company and we have a bunch of panels left over from the monitor screen cutout. The owner of the company I work for asked me if I knew anyone interested in buying them and I said I would check if there was any interest. My first thought was Scroll Saw Village. This stuff is real aluminum glued to mdf. I will get some pictures of the different colors with a list of sizes and prices. This material is called Chemetal, a 4 x 8 sheet costs $250.00. The Chemetal is glued to 1/4" MDF and has a brushed metal look to it. The colors we have are: brass, bronze, aluminum, copper and black. You will need a metal cutting blade for this. The metal is a little over 1/32" thick and it is attached to the 1/4" mdf with contact adhesive and pressed flat with a vacuum bag. Most of the panels ( not all ) have black melamine on the back. The average size of the panels are roughly 8 to 10" x 10 to 15" long. I will square them up and let you know the sizes and quantities available. These panels all have a brushed aluminum, brushed brass, brushed bronze and brushed copper and brushed black look and feel to them. I will also find a pattern on here to cut out on my scroll saw to show you how it cuts. If you guys and gals are interested let me know and I will get this going. Here are some pictures a prices for this material. If you guys want bigger pieces let me know what size and color you want and I will get you a price. If you never worked with this stuff I suggest you get a small piece to try it out. Quantities and colors are limited. The last pictures are of a 30" scull in a frame I made with the bronze and aluminum Chemetal, you can clearly see the reflective qualities this material has. The last 2 pictures were taken in very low light with no flash.
  11. Have you tried a metal cutting blade? I sometimes use a metal cutting blade on 1/8" or less because it leaves a much better finish on the wood than a wood blade.
  12. Ike, These would be shipped in a flat rate box to keep the shipping cost low.
  13. This is the pattern I will be cutting on the Chemetal. Pattern by Bobscroll
  14. The price will be between $4 to $8 depending on the size. I will check with the boss for a quantity price brake.
