  1. I have used deck stain on many outdoor projects including lawn and deck furniture. It works well and is easy to apply. I just reapplied it as needed.
  2. I use scraps for most of my ornaments. I don’t make many to sell. I use 1/8” and 1/4” Birch plywood and 1/4” scrap hardwood.
  3. Billy Joe is playing in my head…
  4. I would not paint the base.
  5. I use skip tooth blades. Blade choice depends on type of wood, wood thickness and pattern. So my answer is actually, it depends.
  6. I will look at that the next time we are in town. I would like the flex shaft part.
  7. I have made frames. Now, I just buy them at the craft store during a sale. Frame, mat, and glass or just frame and glass
  8. I frame mine under glass. Because I ain’t dusting that.
  9. Two questions: What saw do you have? What blades does it take, pin, plain, or both.
  10. If you’re going to buy the Pegas anyway, Go Big or Go Home!
  11. Ultra reverse blades and others that are hard to tell which way is up have either a crimp or notch at the top.
  12. The bits will be numbered (possibly #62). I buy my drill bits and blades either from Artcraftersonline or Wooden Teddy Bear. Harbor freight also sells a pack that includes 1/8” down to some numbered tiny bits as well.
