Gentlemen and ladies I come again with another request for a racing car. You guys really came through on the last one and I feel so bad, because I realized that I neglected to post the cut pattern. They loved it and have asked for one made of the other car they own. I am truly grateful for all of your assistance with these! My software is just too outdated to keep up. I need to upgrade but would also like to know what programs you're using. Here's the new car they'd like a pattern for as well as the original one with the picture, pattern, and cut. Thank you all again!!!

I know this isn't what you wanted, but nobody has given this a shot, so thought i would.  It will still need a lot of work, but maybe it will get you going.  I've maybe done two cars in all the years i've been doing these patterns.  None have turned out well.  lol.   This one is no different.  :)  Maybe you can do something with it, IDK.

Thank you very much Birch!!! I will be awhile before I can do any cutting of any kind though now. I had a fire in my garage last night.  No idea what started it but I lost nearly every tool I own. Including my pretty new scroll saw! Fortunately no one was injured and  we have insurance but I have no idea how long it's going to take to get the items replaced. I guess the upside is that now there's more time others to try their hand on this one too, including me working from the base you've provided me. Thank you again!!

WOW!!  That's terrible!!  Sooo glad nobody was hurt, wow.  Glad of the insurance as well.  Those things can be replaced, it could've been worse i suppose, but still a horrible night for you.  Any idea what caused it?  Not crumpled stain rags in the trash i hope.  So glad everyone is okay.

Just wanted t say that I am sorry for the fire and loss of your tools in your garage.  Glad no one was hurt and you have insurance.  My family home burned back many years ago when I was a freshman in college and it was a total loss.  Fortunately, nobody was home so was only property loss. Just as fortunately, most of the damage was caused by the smoke and water damage versus everything burning up.  The insurance company will send in investigators to figure out where it started if the fire department doesn't pin point the cause.  Ours was due to the NEW heat and air unit my parents had had installed. There was some paper that got left in the unit it seems.  :grr:  Once they let you back in the garage area, you will want to make sure you list EVERYTHING that you can that was in the garage (which is why its helpful if it didn't burn up).  Make sure you list all the wood, etc. too.  Anything that had "value".  The more you can actually "see" what was there - the easier it is to make that list.  Good luck and hopefully it won't take long to get things restored and back up and running for you.

Fire dept. thinks it may have been a spark from a bench grinder I was using earlier that day. It smoldered somewhere for awhile before taking off. I had been in there until just about 20 minutes before it happened. Went in to eat supper. Heard a bang, went to see what it was and found flames. ME my wife and my neighbor have spent the last 24 hours cataloging everything in the place.  Insurance has already been out to look at it. Thankfully concrete block wall don't burn well or it could have been a LOT worse, might have got the house and my neighbor's garage too. But we have it cleaned out, itemized, photographed and ready to start paperwork now. Filled a 30 yard dumpster with debris and a trailer with 2600 pounds of what is now scrap metal.  We pulled some serious working today and last night!!! Here's a pic of all that's left of my just under two year old Delta. It used to be so pretty :(

Glad they were able to figure out a cause and the insurance company already came out and let you get started on the cataloging your losses and cleaning it out.  Lots of hard work there for sure. Glad the concrete walls were there to contain it to the garage.  Definitely looks like it was a bad fire from your photo.  Hopefully you can get restored and back to working in your shop sooner then later.  Lots going to depend on how quickly your insurance company moves with your claim.  Looks like you are off to a good start though since you were already allowed to start cleanup.  Good luck.
