No, I wish there was.  Not enough trees and I guess not enough woodworkers to make it viable.  We have several tree trimmers/removers in the area, but none of them have the milling equipment to work the lumber.  Most they do is cut it up for firewood to sell.

Nothing like that around here either, most of the time if you want a certain kind of wood you go to the woods and cut it. If you don't have any of the kind you want on your own property, your neighbor is usually willing to let you cut a tree or two off of their land. We do a lot of trading to get what we want for wood to work with, I wish I had a few Baltic Birch plywood trees growing on my land.

There is a company here in Florida that saves trees from going into the landfills. They will also cut up trees that have fallen down in storms and cut them up and prepare them for woodworking projects. Are the any companies in your area that do the same thing.

Your right ,Lots of exotic trees here and going to waste as mulch or land fill.I cut own at the last place i live a macadamia nut tree .The wood was reddish inside.I had no means of saving the wood.
