jbrowning Posted September 5, 2016 Report Posted September 5, 2016 So I cut out another race track that the MRA races at. I'm looking for suggestions on the lettering. I like the H and P doesn't look to bad but the R I don't like at all. I'm wondering making the P and R a little fatter? amazingkevin Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 let the computer generate the letters for you Quote
meflick Posted September 6, 2016 Report Posted September 6, 2016 Looks good. As a newbie - I am afraid that lettering is not something I can provide real insight on. However, I agree with Kevin - if you can generate the letters using the computer that will probably help you feel that they are the right size. Quote
oldhudson Posted September 20, 2016 Report Posted September 20, 2016 How did you make the pattern and letters? Maybe that would help members suggest alternative methods? Putting the letters inside was an interesting approach. That must be High Plains Raceway, right? Quote
jbrowning Posted September 21, 2016 Author Report Posted September 21, 2016 Hello, this was all drawn freehand. The track was from memory, so it might not be an exact match. The lettering I did freehand also. I wanted to put the letters inside the track so they were secure and would be less likely to break off. Correct this is for High Plains Raceway here in Colorado. Jim McDonald Posted September 21, 2016 Report Posted September 21, 2016 Lettering is tough. I think you can still salvage the R in the design with a little re-cutting. Quote
jbrowning Posted September 24, 2016 Author Report Posted September 24, 2016 Thanks Jim, I will give it a shot over the weekend. Jim Quote
