Fab4 Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 Hi Mark: Where did you go to download it? Fab4 Quote
Mark SW Posted September 7, 2016 Author Report Posted September 7, 2016 Fab4 I went to gimp.us.com/gimp Sorry if I came off a bit rough but it was a chore getting rid of that mess. When I went to uninstall one it kept on cancelling itself, It was a mess Mark Quote
don in brooklin on Posted September 7, 2016 Report Posted September 7, 2016 The official web site is http://www.gimp.org/ I downloaded from there and had no issues. I assume that you googled gimp and the creeps get ahead of the real site by changing the ad words. I am not a big GIMP but yesterday I used it to clean up a bunch of scans before moving into Inkscape and it was fantastic. Don Fab4 1 Quote

Rolf Posted September 9, 2016 Report Posted September 9, 2016 I have never tried Gimp. It always amazes me how many scammers there are out there. Even the new computers come loaded with a load of useless crap that take hours to delete. Unfortunately that is where the computer manufacturers make their money. I did download ( purchased) Pattern wizard and that is what I used to design the Goldfinch I am working on. I have been using Auto cad for 30 years so getting used to new software that has limitations has been a bit of a challenge. But so far it did what I wanted once I found the appropriate commands. heppnerguy Posted September 11, 2016 Report Posted September 11, 2016 I don't use GIMP much, but I never had a problem with the download. Need to be very careful with the address as there is always someone out there trying to make use of another's web site to make trouble for others Dick heppnerguy Quote
