creating a lamp pattern

Hi all,

 

I am wanting to create a few lamps, I was wondering what would be the best program to do this is?

 

I'm jut thinking in like paint a similiar programs it might be difficult to get the tabs the same.

I'd suggest using any program you feel most comfortable in.  Gimp, Inkscape, Sketchup, Photoshop, Illustrator, anything you think you can draw what you want it to look like. 

Not sure what you mean by "tabs the same" tho.  I'm sure we'd like to see what you come up with if you want to post a pic.
