Pattern Request and

I have gimp, and an old photoshop v7, I have tried the gimp pattern tutorials several times - Kirk I can do fairly well - but when I try it on an original pic - - frustration abounds.

 

We sort of adopted this young lady a couple of years ago, I wanted to do her pic for her birthday (21) but ...

 

I would appreciate the pattern if anyone cares to try, either pic, your choice.

 

But more than that, what I would really like is the file you created it from, with (like in the tutorial) a layer per adjustment so I can try to follow along hopefully learning so I don't have to bug y'all repeatedly.  If you would do that, I will post my email since there is no field for it in the profile that I can find.

Can you post a .psd file of what you've got so far?  Maybe we can tell what you're doing wrong.

I gave it a go,I tried the one with the cowboy hat,but it was to fuzzy,so it went with this one,Hope it works for ya. Maybe one of the other guys or gals will make ya a better one.

I get a "You are not permitted to upload this kind of file" for both the psd and the xcf file.
