Kepy Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 Supposed to be warm today and with no Drs appointments, maybe I can get a little shop time. I am close to having everything I am going to do for Christmas finished. LarryEA 1 Quote
meflick Posted November 2, 2016 Report Posted November 2, 2016 Wow Kepy, almost done with Christmas. That's impressive. Maybe you can help the rest of us out then! Glad to hear you have a good day with no Drs. Appointments. Hope you get out in the shop. We are having clear skies and more record breaking highs today in the mid 80's. Went to my Daughter's college VB match last night. It was their last match at home this year. It was the quarter-finals of their conference championship. They had a bye in the round prior. They won so they travel to VA on Friday to play in the semi-finals of their conference's championship. At least 6 hours away so don't think I will make it. Will cheer from afar. Tough task as they will be playing the overall no. 1 seed but they beat that team last year in the tournament so we shall see. Otherwise, I too hope to get some time out in the shop today. wombatie and LarryEA 2 Quote

wombatie Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 G'day everyone. 18C and sunny here, no wind for a change. Been busy sorting through some patterns and preparing ones to cut. Also downloaded the 5 I purchased from Sue Mey, all Christmas ones, there were a lot more that I wanted that I may get latter. Finally got my first appointment to see the eye specialist about my cataracts, it's on Dec 1st. This Morning it's about 45 F (7C) and clear. Put the horses out (they have to eat first) and now it's my turn. The rest of today... Thanks Larry for today's post. Wow Kepy, almost done with Christmas. That's impressive. meflick Posted November 3, 2016 Report Posted November 3, 2016 Thanks Larry and Marg for your kind comments. They leave this afternoon to head to VA play Fri. evening at 6:30. Marg - glad you got an appointment to have your cataracts taken care of. My eyes seem to be aging faster then the rest of me. I keep threatening to have my eye doctor do the cataract surgery so I can see better without my contacts that just don't seem to get the job done! We got close to breaking the high yesterday - record high was 83 - we only got to 82 (but average is suppose to be 67). Not as warm today - upper 70's with slight chance of rain later. We could use it. We are in severe drought conditions now in my area. Others around even worse. Ban on any outdoor fire burning. Like Marg, I was working on preparing some things to work on yesterday so never got out into the workshop to the saw but today is another day. Quote
