Four years ago I purchased a Grizzly band saw. It's been a good machine, and based on the cost, I assume it's a quality product. Unfortunately it's developed a problem sawing a straight line and has been difficult to diagnose. The purpose of my post is not to complain about the fact the saw malfunctioned, it happens. My problem is attempting to get it fixed. It turns out Grizzly has no authorized service centers other than at its two retail outlets, Bellingham, WA and Springfield, MO. Neither is close to my home. Something to remember when you buy a tool. Any of them can malfunction and need to be repaired. Make sure you can get it done somewhere nearer your house than 600 miles. Not sure what I'm going to do.

I've had a Skil brand for 16? years. I chew up the guides on each side of the blade (The area that you adjust up and down for the thickness of the wood.)

Just make new one's out of oak. The tighter curve you saw, the quicker they need replacing.

Hope this helps Friend.
