So my wife's plans to go visit a close friend of hers *didn't* fall through at the last minute, and she asked about the possibility of me making a wordart sign for her friend.  Her friend's not that big into coffee (I know...I don't understand that, either!), so none of my patterns would do.  So, at my wife's suggestion, I came up with a new pattern and am working furiously to get it cut in time.  Still working a full-time job, plus dealing with a lot of other family holiday-related drama, and hosting some friends for dinner (they're living in a hotel while their rental house is being treated for black mold...NOBODY deserves hotel food during the holidays!), I finally got the inside cuts completed last night.  Should be able to get the outer edge cut and cleaned up tonight, give it a good stain bath and let it dry overnight.  So, if all goes well, my wife will be able to take it up to Dallas with her this weekend.

Urg.  There's a lot of little, tight curves around the outside edge.  Allergies don't help much, either.  :)  Its done and drying, though, ready for my wife to pick up and haul north with her in the morning.  Now....to queue up my next projects....

Just noticed how the words look....they all line up, trust me on that, and it stands fine on its own with 1" wood.  The distortion of the lines is probably caused by the odd angle/vanishing point.  I'm too tired at this point to go back out and take another picture.  :)

Thanks, y'all!  I was up waaaay too late last night working on that, my eyes are a bit crossed this morning.  Could be the cedar fever, too, I guess.  Wood was 1x12 pine, which puts out a LOT of very fine dust.  Had an errant breeze come in through the garage door at one point, and kicked up enough dust to set off an epic sneezing fit.  My nose still isn't talking to me today.

Cedar Fever season.  It'd be clogged from the inside within seconds.

...plus...I know, I know....I usually only wear it when sanding or using the jigsaw, which tends to throw particles any which way.
