savethebeer Posted December 25, 2018 Report Posted December 25, 2018 Happy Christmas to you all. I think I have come up with a new hobby. My favourite Daughter gave me a tin of Resin as one of my presents. I had never ever thought of adding in Resin to my cutting so we'll see what I can produce. I might have a different 'Favourite Daughter' by tomorrow when I see what I get when I visit her tomorrow. [I know I'm easily bought} What I discovered this week is that we are all so lucky that Scroll Saw manuals do not use the pictograms that IKEA use. I had some blackout roller blinds on my bedroom window for ages but the chain roller broke some time ago and I could not raise the blinds, so weeks ago I bought a new 'spring loaded' roller blind. Last week I tried to put the new blind up, except I broke the spring mechanism. Only after that did I open up the instruction page and found out exactly why and how I broke it. So a new visit to IKEA and I will put this one up next weekend. On a plus side I now have acres of blackout material which I will use as backing for my cuttings. So you can all be greatfull that saw makers went to the bother of typing out descriptions and instructions rather than just having teenagers drawing pictograms.
