Best of the season to everyone.  As the title says, I am trying to locate patterns for these two cars if they are available or someone who would be interested in designing the patterns.  Our mens club is sponsoring a car show in the spring and after seeing the cost of good trophies, they thought a nice scrolled desk plaque with a fancy brass plate on it would be a more thoughtful presentation, by the way, they never asked the cutter.  I'm looking for a profile view of a late model Chevrolet Corvette Coupe, which will be presnted to the best in show winner and the 1970 Chevy NOVA, "JENKO" will be given to one of our senior members who will be leaving the area.  I am not a car guy, so I don't know anything about the "JENKO" except that I assume it is a souped up version of a regular NOVA, I do know if I was 50 years younger, I would be chasing the girls in this beautiful Corvette.  I included the pictures as suggestions only.

I would be more that willing to compensate anyone who can help me.  Thank you.

Hi Rick there are some great pattern makers here which do wonders with a pattern. If you go to the top of the village forum and click on Patterns then go down to Transportation you may find something that will help. I looked and there are several vettes there the I am not sure about the Nova.

don yenko was a chevy dealer in pennsylvania. his start into the modified/souped up cars was with the covair corsa model in about 65. in 67-68 he started dropping 427's in the camaro.they were so poplular that cevy did it on the line, creating the COPO camaro.

yenko novas were only 69 and 70 models. they also had the 427's and not that many built- i think about 40. theyre extremely rare and come at a steep price tag.

I changed it, thanks a lot

Well at least you didn't do like I did one time and cut it out and then email pictures to a customer... 😂.. But I feel at least it was caught then since I almost just mailed it rather than show the pictures.. Thankful the customer messaged back before the mail came to pick it up, LOL..

Talk about fast cars. The other day the cops chased a Corvette  down I-70 at 170 mph. The Corvette lost the cops but they found him a short time later in a garage. Don't know how they clocked him but that's what the news said.

The chopper overhead probably clocked him. My b-i-l has a 2018 Corvette Grand Sport with all the bells and whistles. I have no idea how fast it will go but I'll bet it'll exceed that. Scary.

Sill not perfect, but I think I am starting to get the hang of this designing thing.

Just curious.... Whats not perfect? 😂😂 ..

Looks perfect to me.. Not perfect FOR me because there isn't a spot for a clock, :) ... That said.. none of my car clocks I make had a spot either.. I'm good enough with the inkscape to make my own spot, :)  I hope to get good enough to do the actual car design too some day.. but pretty simple to just add a circle spot somewhere to put a clock, LOL

I'm going to be making these two designs you did sometime soon.. you did a wonderful job with both.. Thank you..

Holy whatever, Jim.  You are so gifted with your computer skills, I'm very envious and as we all know, envy is one of the worst of sins.

I actually tried the inkscape path trace route, but I just couldn't get the program to cooperate with me.  I suffer greatly from Computer Knowledge Bankrupcy, and I have tried to prove that at 71 years old, I could still learn a new trick or two.....Ohhh well.

Thank you so much for youe skills and the time you invested in MY request.  It's great to see that other members ware going to cut it also.

HAPPY NEW YEAR to you and all our members.

Hi Jim.  Would you mind sharing which program you use to do your designs?  I tried, in inkscape, to change the lines to red but inkscape did not respond to any of the moves I tried.  I know Steve Good designs in Corel Draw and he saves all his desings in vector format.  I am able to bring any of his designs into inkscape and change the color with no problem.

Please know that this is not a complaint or a criticism, it's just that the old eyes can't easily distinguish between the black line and the black saw blade.

I thank you for all your help again.
