Cut this out today.  Need to do a bit of sanding and put a finish on it.  Second piece that I have made with my new Dewalt.  The saw runs super smooth and is nice and quiet.  The wood is 3/8" cedar.  Started off using an Olson #2 reverse, cutting the trees had lots of ins and out, twists and turns so I thought that I would give the spiral #2 a try.  I've only tried these blades twice and didn't care for them much either time.  I put the spiral in and tried to give a chance,, just couldn't do it.  Couldn't stay on the line and had 2 blades break within 10 minutes.  Had the speed down about 1/2 and the tension on number 4 for those of you with the Dewalt.  Put the Olson #2 reverse back in and just dealt with all of the ins and outs on the trees.  Still need to make a second handle that goes on top of the first to give it some depth.  Not sure what kind of finish I will use.  Leaning towards just a clear enamel.

Ah, Yes!!! The sweet sound of nothing using a DeWalt. The only sound I hear is wood being cut and the bellows. now that's quiet!!!!
