I would have bet the farm that stream from the faucet WOULD NOT FREEZE & it doesn't appear photo shopped.  However, it's gotten so I don't believe half of the pictures on the web anymore.

The Trinity river froze over too.  It all depends I guess cause like you I figured running water would not freeze

running water can and will freeze.. but it has to be the right situation for it to happen. In cold temps it does help prevent freezing.. but will not completely stop it from a freeze up.

I loved the water in hood river Oregon . Ice cold right from the tap in the summer time!!!
