Travis Posted August 4, 2011 Report Posted August 4, 2011 That looks great. Is it the top of the woodburned walking stick you were working on? Quote
cjswoodcrafts Posted August 4, 2011 Author Report Posted August 4, 2011 Travis, thanks. No, this is a new one i started on today, i have 5-8 yellow poplars that we cut down the last couple weeks, Brett, thanks I am thinking i am liking carving, even tho it took about 6 hours to do it, but i enjoyed it.... sad thing is, i dont get on the scroll saw (paige is her name) all that much.. i feel like im cheating on her.. lol but i do have a pattern i bought from scrollsawinspiriations of some bird house/birds ornaments. Looks like i need to touch up some areas on the paint. but i likes it so far. thanks again Jim Quote
Dan Posted August 6, 2011 Report Posted August 6, 2011 Good job Jim. I just came back from the Smokeys and saw a lot of wood carvings as we walked through Gatlinburg. The wood spirits were my favorite. My wife didn't buy any because she said, "You can do that." Ha, I'll give it a try but I've never carved a day in my life (except the turkey). Dan Quote
