Hello everyone, I just received my NEJE Master 2S Plus Laser Engraver yesterday and have it connected to my Samsung/Android Tablet via Bluetooth and I'm using the NEJE Software for Android. I'm wanting to do names with this but I can't figure out where I can change the font, the font size and it looks like the text box is limited to the screen size. Does anyone else here have on of these that might be able to give me some help on this? I've emailed customer support with NEJE and they said to watch their video regarding Androids but can't find it. I've watched several YouTube videos but no one goes into this that I can find. Oh and I don't have a laptop to use, because my laptop has Windows Vista and the NEJE software for Windows isn't compatible with anything older the Windows 7.

Thank you

Jim

I have a Neje but not that one.

I have it set up with a laptop, desktop, iPhone I don't have a cord to connect it to one of android devices

On mine, when I start a new engraving, I enter the text using "Scanning Mode", there is a button for selecting the font at the bottom

Hope that helps

Thank you both for your help. Here are some pictures of what I'm looking at when I open up the app.

First the app says NEJE. Then when I open that up it shows NEJE V 2.5 upper left hand corner and "load Image" in the top middle of the screen. Then when I click on that, I get a screen with a lot of graphics on it and the top of the page shows from left to right Cloud, Heart (Favorites), T for Text, A camera icon to use the camera and then a icon for using a picture that is in my gallery. The when i click on the Text icon I get a screen that says at the bottom left of the screen "draw" and then "text". At this point I've searched and searched for a place to change a font and I sure don't find it.

new2woodwrk, do you know what version and the name of the app you are using? I'm wondering if I'm just using the incorrect app or if the app is just a really stripped down version of the computer software.

Thank you

Jim

Update, I finally found out that on a Android device you are not able to change the font or increase the area of the text. So there is nothing wrong with the software, tablet or even me lol. It's just a stripped down version to use on a Android device with it's limitations.

Yesterday I did finally get a laptop that I can run the laser engraver on. First I need to finish these last three custom orders, then I can start playing with the engraver.

It just occued to me, that a laser printer can be used to lightly etch the pattern on.  No need for adhesive, paper, double sticky stuff.

Yep, very useful in particular if you want to say laser engrave something in a particular place on something. Run the wood through the laser first, including the “cut” lines. Then use the saw to cut out the item after you did the lasering. For example, you want to put a name or date lasered onto a Christmas ornament. Cutting first, then trying to place correctly on the laser bed to engrave is difficult at best. Instead, laser it all then cut out the ornament.

It sounds good but have you ever cut a pattern without straying off the line? I don’t think I ever have. So now you have a burnt in line you have to try to remove. Now what?

I used to cut the project and then laser it.. lining up isn't too bad, but might depend on what machine you're using.. and as Dan said... lasering the pattern on could be disaster in the making, LOL.. Of coarse depending on the design etc..

I've found that doing custom engraving on ornaments is just so much easier and quicker to have the laser set up to cut it as well since I already have to program the laser to do the engrave.. it's only a matter of changing the drawing to red to do the cutting.. My laser works of colors in your pattern set up.. red = cut, black = engrave, and blue is a different type of engrave that I have yet to try.. I only have done the red and black.
