A Little Carving -- Rabbit

I decided to take a break from the scroll saw for a bit.  I started doing some carving with power tools.  I use a Dremel Flex Shaft or Foredom.Flex Shaft with an assortment of carving burrs. This is a Rabbit that I carved from Poplar.  The power carving works for me as I have a bad back and can not stand long.  Also, have very bad wrists so can not use hand knives.  So far, it has been an interesting and fun change.you inK

Looks good. Another, want to try craft hobby. Have the tools for the most part, just need the time and courage to give it a try at some point. Are you using any tutorials or beginners info. or just winging it ?

I am following some tutorials on YouTube but have winged it with others.o have made some that looked really bad and just started over.

Wonderful piece of work. well done. I have a few carving tools but have not yet started carving, keep reading and looking at how to do it but never actually produced anything.

I appreciate all the kind comments.  It is a pretty simple carving but took me too long.  It is a different experience from the scroll saw where you cut on the line.  For this I roughed it out and then look at the carving and the picture and carve off A bit more........then repeat many times.

I am trying different things that I can do while sitting in my shop.  My back is not getting better and standing for long is an issue.
