If you are unable to locate the part you need... I see these saws come up on Craigslist often for under $50.  You could always purchase one to use for parts, or if it's in near unused condition, you could use yours for spare parts for it.  Also, I believe that's the same saw as the AMT of that era, so parts from that saw may also work.  I see those saws come up often as well.

That is an excellent suggestion. I might add that this might be a good time to search out a better used saw. If you are in the right area of the country there are many great deals to be had. An old Hawk, Dewalt or Delta can be had pretty cheap now.

Thanks for the suggestions, everyone.  After researching a little, I think I might be better off getting a new one.  I got to watching some YouTube videos and pretty excited to try and up my game a little.  I have never used a SS much and had no idea you can do so much with them.  So, thanks again for everyone's help.  I'm going to be coming back to this group and soak up as much knowledge as possible!

I went through this this time last year.  I had an entry level from lowes for a long time. It just could not hold a blade and cut hardwood.  So I gave it away after upgrading.

With OCTOOLGUY help, I found a great RBI Hawk on craigslist.

I have been trying out several types of projects to find out which I like the best. Intarsia, bowl, fretwork, compond cuts, and simple box making. I tried Inlay cuts, relief cuts, angled cuts.

I also ask what can I do that a laser can not do.  Scrollsaw is actually pretty fun tool.
