Cardinal-pattern by Garnet Hall

Here’s a cardinal made with marente (sp?) pine,cherry and poplar

I hadn’t seen the same intarsia by Grandpa Jim when I posted this. What are the odds of the same pattern being posted consecutively?

Très beau Dennis, when you write "marente", do you mean "amarante" the wood?

Did you added some color to the wood?

The wood for the cardinal is maranti, it has a reddish tinge. I had my porch redone with Trex and I kept some old wood,maranti, ( I think I now have a lifetime supply) which was still in good shape. I did touch up the cardinal with some very thinned out red acrylic paint and some highlights with very thinned out grey acrylic paint.
