Been seeing the FD Polar blades mentioned a lot in these forums.  I would like to give them a try. Do you have any pros and cons to share?

Where are you all purchasing these from, besides Amazon. Want to support small business if I can. Thanks

I use FD Polar blades for cutting compound projects. They are a skip tooth blade with no reverse teeth. They help clear out the  saw dust from the kerf for a cleaner cut. Since they are not a reverse tooth blade, they will leave fuzzies on the bottom of flat work, but on compound cuts it doesn’t matter as the outside pieces are discarded.

I use a skip tooth blade for cutting thick or hard wood.  The skip tooth design allows better clearing of the sawdust and faster cutting than reverse tooth type blades.  The FD Polar is this type of blade.  Other companies make skip tooth blades also.   The expensive PS Woods Super Sharps are another one

As with any blade, when you change to it you will need some time getting comfortable with it or maybe uncomfortable with it.

I  like them because less downward pressure is required while cutting with them.
