Hawk Posted May 16, 2023 Report Posted May 16, 2023 After my last Dr visit he recommended that as my nerve damage in my legs is causing balance issues I should start using a cane to help. I looked at a bunch of them but I didn't like any of them it's either too short yo look cool or male ego. Looked at walking sticks and too big for walking thru stores and such. Then I thought, I'm a wood worker, I can make one! So I split the difference in size, this one is my first time making one. 48" long, Bolivian Rosewood with a paracord handle. JackJones, Fish, ChelCass and 4 others 7 Quote

RabidAlien Posted June 10, 2023 Report Posted June 10, 2023 Nice!!! I've got two I've made now (walking around in a kilt, without a staff or shaleligh or sword just feels...wrong), both from downed branches. One cedar, one oak, neither straight. Quote
