Popular Post Joe W. Posted yesterday at 01:24 AM Popular Post Report Posted yesterday at 01:24 AM "Life is what happens when you make plans" - some wise person once said. Between an unheated garage, a friend who keeps roping in to help him do handy man work, and a wife who has an endless supply of "honey do this", I haven't done much cutting for these past several months. But the saw dust gods and fairies intervened the past few days, (plus warmer weather) making it possible to get some cutting time in. The Delaware sign is a Shelia Landry Design, cut from a recycled maple kitchen cabinet door. Cutting the letters out was an exercise in patience and concentration. And the dough bowl I power carved a log from a friends black cherry tree, primarily using an angle grinder and wood cutting wheels. Both were a lot of fun and I'm looking forward to doing more. barb.j.enders, Dave Monk, TexasDIY and 10 others 12 1 Quote
kmmcrafts Posted 11 hours ago Report Posted 11 hours ago Like that dough bowl.. Great job on both, several years ago I did the Michigan version of the sign because a friend wanted one.. I stack cut three of them from 1/8 maple and put the Walnut backer.. sold only the one and still have the other two, LOL.. Feels good to get back into the shop after a long pause don't it..
