Overfifty Posted January 17, 2014 Report Posted January 17, 2014 I've downloaded the text from the tutorials, viewed the videos once and was in the process of following through each in a step by step manner. Having reached the end of the fifth tutorial I find I have five layers as has Travis (background/original/bw/curves/photocopy). However, regardless of which layer I click on the only one which appears in the window is the the last layer I created (photocopy). For example, if I click on the first layer (portrait) I expect to bring up the color portrait. If I click on the second layer (BW) I expect to see a black and white (desaturated) version of the color photo. Any and all suggestions as to what I'm doing wrong would be much appreciated. Thank you, Barry. Quote
aubec Posted January 19, 2014 Report Posted January 19, 2014 Hi Barry If you check at the side of each layer there is an eye. click on the eye of for example background original/ bw/ curves so the eye disappears and only the eye for photocopy layer is showing and you will only see that layer. Click on a layer to bring it back. Hope that makes sense. Good luck Quote
Overfifty Posted January 20, 2014 Author Report Posted January 20, 2014 Thank you Angela. I was sure that in the tutorial Travis demonstrated that clicking on a layer brought that layer up in the open window without closing the other "eyes". I'll give it a try. Cheers, Barry. Quote
