Rob Roy Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Good morning all. Coffee's ready and plenty of shortbread left from the New Year celebrations. There's also a wee dram if you folks with all that snow need warming up a bit. Quite glad the roof's done as it's blowing a gale today and it's freezing and only 38F. Went out to the 4x4 this morning and discovered I had a flaming puncture. Won't be buying any lottery tickets this week . I've just had a thought. I could use a lump of the wife's Christmas Cake to stuff in the hole in the tire, that might save me a few bucks. Have a great weekend everyone. Dan Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for the coffee Rob. Glad the roof is fixed. Christmas cake in the tire...what an idea! If it works, you can celebrate Christmas all year, or at least until the tire gives out. Quote
keefie Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Thanks for the coffee Rob, I see you got the roof fixed before all the bad weather that I sent back to you arrived. Just out of curiosity, which will last longer the Christmas cake repair or the tyre itself??? (careful how you answer if the good lady is watching over your shoulder!!!!!) Quote
Ron Johnson Posted January 31, 2014 Report Posted January 31, 2014 Good morning Roy Thanks for the coffee. Good news that you have the roof completed. That should keep the rain off your head. To bad about the puncture and good luck using the wife's Xmas cake. Have a great day Quote

Rob Roy Posted January 31, 2014 Author Report Posted January 31, 2014 Put it this way Keith, I'll send you a large piece of the cake, (If I can afford the shipping costs), it weighs a flipping ton. I'm quite sure you could stick it on your lathe and make a very unusual bowl. I'm going to keep some just in case I get another HOLE in the ROOF, should have thought of it before I spent a fortune on it. . Quote

Every time you open the closet door it's sitting there leering at you!!! Oh. What are TWINKIES Kevin. A hacksaw is of no use to cut it, but you might manage it with a PLASMA CUTTER. Quote

Don't think you'll need magnets as I'm sure they'll be self adhesive. Forester 1 Quote
