Thank you all sooooo much for the kind words. HAPPY FOURTH to all us YANKS, and a great weekend to all. Party Hardy, we can all use it. Rick -

Hi everyone, hope you are all doing well and staying safe. I wanted to share my latest scroll saw project, Kris, from the Scroll Saw Village, allowed me to use his pattern that I cut as a gift for a 10 year old baseball fan. Conner was aware of Babe Ruth, but had no idea of who Lou Gerhrig was, his mom told me that he went on the internet after we left and he did a bunch of research on Lou, who is now on his list of baseball heroes. I added the iconic Yankee Stadium Frieze, which I think is historically correct to the time frame that they played in the old stadium. Ann Marie cut out the names and the patriotic baseball images on her Circuit vinyl cutter and we attached them onto the homemade frame to finish the job.If you're under 75 yers old, you may not know who these guys are. Thanks for looking.Rick

Another GREAT pattern Kris. Thanks for sharing. Rick

Sorry, I don't have a name to address you by, but you did an outstanding job on those nite lights. Are they your patterns or are they available somewhere? I think I would like to try something like these. Thanks for sharing. Rick

Baseball puzzle for Connor

Thank you all for the very kind remarks, and thanks for looking. STAY SAFE & BE WELL Rick -
My niece's oldest son is a baseball nut just like his uncle. We both need to see this COVID nonsense end so some body can yell "PLAYBALL". Until then, knowing how much he is missing his pals on Little League, I cut a puzzle of him receiving his "All Star" trophy last season. 139 pcs including my first attempt at cutting figural/whimmsies. I hope this works, thanks for looking. Sorry about the image, it was taken on my phone and then turned on it's side by the APPLE goblins, and I can't figure out how to fix it.

Great job Kris. Arguably two of the greatest players ever. As a lifelong Yankee fan, I'm wondering if that pattern is available. This COVID thing has to end soon, I NEED a baseball fix.

Birthday gift for a Special Niece

I'm going to try this again. Hello everyone. Last fall I posted pictures of a lighted shadow box of ELVIS that I made as a present for someone special in our lives. Our niece turns 50 this month and she may be the biggest Bruce Springsteen fan in the country , she has seen him in concert more than 10 times, so I decided to do this for her. I used an old LP record that I had here in the house and found the image of THE BOSS on the internet, made a copy and started cutting the vinyl record. There were a few very small opening that had to be cut but I used a number 2 Pegas blade on the slowest speed and fortunately, I was successful. I then custom made the mouldings on the router table and sanded the back side of the plexiglas and proceeded to put this together, I had to drill a small hole on the front of the frame for the IR receiver, which is used to control the LED lights in the frame. This receiver can be seen on the lower right side of the frame in one of the pictures that I will attempt to attach here, you will also see how the USB power cord is attached through the side of the frame. I also will try to attach a very small video that shows the LEDs pulsating to the music, it will be nothing short of miraculous if this works. We can’t wait to give it to her tomorrow. Thanks for looking. I hope this works. The Boss Video with audio.MOV -

I don't know where this should go, so mods, please remove it if it doesn't belong here. I posted this on the other forums, but wanted to share it here. Sorry if this offends anyone, actually I don't really care if this offends anyone. I would like to extend Easter wishes to all my Christian Friends and the very best Passover feast to all my Jewish brethren. In light of what the world is handing us at the present time, it wouldn't hurt to worship and ask for help from our creator. BE WELL and BE SAFE to all.

A Different Kind of Drill Press Table
Hudson River Rick replied to CharleyL's topic in General Scroll Sawing
Nice design Charley. I have close to that design on my router table, but I really like the arc you put on your table and will borrow (?) that idea if you don't mind. I think I see a new fence in the near future for my drill press. Thanks for sharing. -
Nice job Les. In another world, I had a '63 Spilt window Coupe. It drove the pretty girls crazy and put me in the poor house due to all the speeding tickets I had to pay. That was a million years ago and I would do it again if I could only get out of the damn thing. BE SAFE and BE WELL

Hi everybody, I posted this on the other forums and would appreciate any help. Thank you in advance. Good morning everyone, I hope all is well and you members are staying safe. My old iMAC (13 years old) went belly up about 2 weeks ago so I treated myself to a new one with a 24 inch screen...unbelievable, how much better the new technology is. Any way, since we have nothing to do and unlimited time to do it, I thought that I would try to learn something about inkscape, to my dismay, I found out that the program will not work on macOS Catalina, version 10.15.4, so I didn't take a chance and I did not download it. Is anyone using inkscape with this new Apple release??? If so, could you please share any information about the program so I can put it on my new machine and maybe someday ditch the pencil and eraser. Thanks for any help. BE WELL to all.

Hi JT, you did a great job on that "HIGH ROLLERS" desk clock. Is that pattern available anywhere??? Thanks for sharing.

Daddy's hand, inspired by Nickel Falls
Hudson River Rick replied to Charlie E's topic in Bragging Rights
Charlie, you are 100% correct when it comes to opinion. I'm with you as far as using a beautiful piece of wood. I saw your great cutting before I noticed the grain of the wood. I think using boring baltic birch plywood for this image would be like taking a shower with a raincoat on...but then again, that's only my opinion. -
Tony, are you using a typical grinder motor or is that one of the slow speed grinders? That's a very nice set up that you have. I have an old grinder motor that I would like to use, but it spins at 3400 RPM and that is way to fast for any sanding operation.

Real nice job on all the pieces! I particularly like the wolf in front of the moon. Thanks for sharing.

Charlie, the only word left that I can think of is OUTSTANDING. Your sister will find great peace in this sentiment. Thanks for sharing.
