Jumpjet1127 Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 This morning I hand the keys over, for a few days so make the most of a Brit breakfast and come on in for a chat. Wow be tied if you are late. There is tea made in a teapot or the Ern and mugs. Coffee chocolate and pure orange. Today in between duty here I shall be down the cabin scrolling some Antlers for my reindeer candle holder and one big piece of news The Formula 1Grand Prix is racing in Austin Texus, I am following our famous Brit Lewis Hamilton he drives in the mercedes team. We have qualifying today and the race tomorrow. So the music is on and everything is ready to go. Scrolling Steve, amazingkevin, LarryEA and 1 other 4 Quote

Rob Roy Posted November 1, 2014 Report Posted November 1, 2014 A very good morning to you Linda from a sunny, but not warm Scotland.Breakfast sounds great. One small request, could you get Hubby to include a wee slice of Haggis and I could have a full Scottish. Did you know a Kipper is a fish that likes to SLEEP a lot Have a great day. Rob Roy. Quote
Jumpjet1127 Posted November 1, 2014 Author Report Posted November 1, 2014 I am back now from the cabin and instead of scrolling antlers I cut them on the bandsaw. With a 1/4inch blade it cuts like butter and goes round corners brilliantly, I can,t get 1/8 inch blade . Any way good to see you Larry hubby is a good cook but he will only do cooking on special occasions. Rob Roy you made me laugh my kippers smoke so much it has turned them orange.. Haggis will be on the menu next time I host the coffee house I never new you scots had it at breakfast I am so happy you are still in the Uk are you .? Rob Roy 1 Quote

I see Kevin has been here so I'm hoping to find a few crumbs on the table. Lol! We are getting our first taste of snow this morning. It won't last but I'm enjoying it because it will be 60 degrees on Monday. I'll be finishing up an order for ornaments this weekend and hope to start some other projects this week. Rob Roy 1 Quote

wombatie Posted November 2, 2014 Report Posted November 2, 2014 Afternoon everyone and especially to you Linda. I am always late and I like a Chai Latte at this time in the afternoon so I will make myself one. Had a busy few days and none of them in the garage unfortunately, hopefully tomorrow. Had to make an emergency dash to see my daughter yesterday, it had been raining and she went outside and out the front she's got steps with tiles on. She stepped off the top and landed at the bottom, had to have xrays on her back and wrist. Her back is fine just badly bruised and she wont know until tomorrow if her wrist is broken. And today I have been catching up with yesterday, so hopefully I will be back at the scroll saw tomorrow. Christmas is coming far too quickly. See you all tomorrow, stay safe. Marg bobscroll 1 Quote
Jumpjet1127 Posted November 2, 2014 Author Report Posted November 2, 2014 Sorry to hear about your daughter marg, I am sending best wishes for her recovery to be very soon. I hope you get some relaxing time in the garage as Christmas comes very quickly so much to do. Enjoy your chai latte . wombatie 1 Quote
Rob Roy Posted November 3, 2014 Report Posted November 3, 2014 Missed your post Marg. Sorry to hear of your daughter's nasty accident. Hopefully all will be well and she recovers quickly. Marg 2 fell down our inside stairs a few years ago on Christmas day and damaged the bone on the base of her spine. A day or so later Grandson number one informed everyone that Grandma broke her bum. That went down well as you will imagine. I believe the bone is called the Coccyx ??. Give your daughter our best Scottish wishes. Rob Roy. Quote
wombatie Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 They xrayed her coccyx bone and all was well. She may have to have an MRI on Thursday because no one can be certain if her wrist is broken or not. They said that it is either broken, tendon damage or very bad sprain.. Stay tuned to this space, we may eventually find out what it is.. Marg Quote
amazingkevin Posted November 4, 2014 Report Posted November 4, 2014 Sorry to hear this Marge, i'm fall prone myself now,not good! Quote
wombatie Posted November 6, 2014 Report Posted November 6, 2014 Ok so Sara finally got results of her wrist, it is not broken, it is very badly bruised inside with a very small amount of tendon damage, which will soon heal. She is allowed to start using it for just for 10mins at a time so has not to let it get more sore. By this time next week it should be almost healed. So that is very good news. Marg bobscroll 1 Quote
Jumpjet1127 Posted November 6, 2014 Author Report Posted November 6, 2014 Very good news so glad to hear it. Quote
