Very very nicely done on both of those.  I really love that wood.  That grain is wonderful.  Was it hard to cut or fairly easy?  Did it have a unique smell when you cut it?  I ask as I am trying to identify the wood.

Another cross from worm eaten ash and my first bowel made from several cuts. My brother gave me the wood but I forget what he called it.

Boy I'd treasure that wood like my zebra wood and aromatic cedar !Lucky you! You did justice to the wood with that fabulous bowl. :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :) :)

The wood was pretty soft and had no significant smell. My brother told me this is what you get  when the wood had gotten very wet.

Those are both really nice.  Love the grain in the wood, that is really pretty.  The cross is super but the bowl is something else.  The wood really makes it jump out.

thanks for sharing.
