Hi all!

Spent a few days away from the fret saw to work on a special project for a dear friend of mine.

Her 12 year old niece is unfortunately battling cancer and she asked if I could make a dream catcher for her to give her. She did offer to pay me for my work but I know that I would never be forgiven should I accept money for this and decided to make it for her as a gift. Her favourite colours are purple, blue and white. Well after a lot of planning and twisting and turning, some 20 hours later, I showed her the attached result.

The hoops and feathers were done in purple and blue while the webbing and beads were pure white. The largest hoop is 9 inches (22cm) in diameter and the overall height from the top of the largest hoop to the bottom of the feathers is 30 inches (176 cm).

Needless to say my friend was in awe when I showed it to her and was very happy with the result.

Thought you all might like a look at something different than a cutting so decided to share this with you.

If I might ask a favour from all you great people? A small prayer for this young girl would be very much appreciated.

Thanks and have a great day.

Tony

Beautiful job on the dream catcher.  I have always thought they are neat, but I thought they were originated from the Native Americans.  Guess I had better do some study on them.  I also looked Malta, had not clue where that is.  Looks like a vert beautiful country.  Any very nice dream catcher.  The little girl will love it.  My prays will include her.

Thanks Paul. Your prayers are much appreciated.

Actually you are correct - dream catchers are a Native American custom, but I really love their way of life and have learned a few things about them. Malta is a very small island - if I am not mistaken it is the 9th smallest country in the world with less than half a million population.

Once again thanks mate!

Greetings,

Prayers have been sent for the young lady.

It seems there are more and more cases of cancer and more

young people being afflicted. I personally think doctors could do more

but, it is a huge battle to make the almighty dollar versus doing what is right.

Beautiful dream catcher! Thanks for shaing and God Bless! Spirithorse
