Rolf Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 (edited) I am a sucker for tools and software, so I tend to collect them. Just to be clear this just my opinion and I am not getting anything from the software designer other than the great support he gives all of his customers. Greatly appreciated. I have been wanting to do some of my own Intarsia designs based on some of my photo's so I decided to give the "Pattern Wizard" a try. I am used to using high end software like Auto cad and so expect certain things and power. That is not fair and I have learned to start fresh with every new program I try. The Pattern Wizard was a pleasant surprise and it will become a work horse for me. One I figured out where the commands were and what each did I was on a roll. I tend to jump right in and not watch the training videos etc. I should have! My first design was the Gold Finch Intarsia that I posted a while back. Like any tool the more you use it the easier it becomes. I purchased it as a package with Rapid resizer. I know there are free options available but his is what works for me. meflick Posted October 22, 2016 Report Posted October 22, 2016 Thanks for sharing Rolf. I admit to being a software junkie too. Will keep this one in mind to check out maybe at some point. Quote
Rolf Posted October 25, 2016 Author Report Posted October 25, 2016 I am very possessive of my first of anything (except my first wife LOL) so here is a picture of my first design. I have a couple of works in progress that I will share. Quote
meflick Posted October 25, 2016 Report Posted October 25, 2016 Well Rolf - since I am the "first wife" for my hubby - I simply have explained that I am cheaper to keep! So far, after 31+ years - he seems to agree. However, since I have entered into "sharing" his workshop - he might be rethinking it! I think you are doing a great job with your design work and look forward to seeing more of your works in progress. Quote
