Travis Posted March 25, 2010 Report Posted March 25, 2010 Hmmm...do you have a floppy drive? I don't think they put them on most modern computers anymore. I doubt the file would even fit on a floppy disk either. You can buy a little USB drive for under $10 now. Just plug that in and it shows up like a hard drive. Then drag your file to the the USB drive. If you have a CD burner, put in a blank CD, drag it to your CD, right click your CD and click Burn CD. If you have internet access, you can email it by using YouSendIt.com. Send it to your friend's email address. With all of these techniques, your friend will ultimately have to have GIMP installed on his computer too if he wants to open up your GIMP file. Otherwise, you'll have to save it as a JPG or a PDF. PDF would probably work the best. You can download and install CutePDF. After it is installed, you can use it like a printer. Go to File>Print. Then choose CutePDF from the available printers. Then click Print. It will ask you where you want to save the PDF. Save it to your desktop and give that to your friend. That way he'll be able to print it without needing to have GIMP installed on his computer. Quote
