I have a lot of teak boards and a 16' 4x4 in teak.I don't like cutting teak. But I'm happy to do my best projects in it.Here i planned down a 1" board to 5/8"post-1607-0-79816100-1491530724_thumb.jpg post-1607-0-11021000-1491531179_thumb.jpgI glued two pieces together and put in my glue up press over night post-1607-0-66912900-1491530882_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-63271700-1491530900_thumb.jpgThen i cut what i need and run it thru the planer. After waiting all night for it to dry good i took it out and ran it thru the table saw so it would fit in the 13" planner.post-1607-0-70668400-1491531001_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-80771000-1491531019_thumb.jpg I ended up with a box of shavings after post-1607-0-82960600-1491531122_thumb.jpgi changed the planer blades. Here the beautiful wood after being plannedpost-1607-0-75993200-1491531226_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-28811300-1491531277_thumb.jpg taking the pattern offpost-1607-0-85171300-1491531297_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-58345900-1491531340_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-63139400-1491531362_thumb.jpgpost-1607-0-29612700-1491531384_thumb.jpg

thanks rob .a little more effort involved but the out come was worth it.And showing it off in the stores i got two more jobs in the same way this is done .$$$$ god is good ,Plus i got to testify at the same time.the people that seen it were oohing and aweing .It made me feel real proud to show this baby off.i got a big deposit for one which ill try to do tomorrow.not sure how long to let the two pieces glued to dry before running thru the planner.the planner never bogged and i did a full half turn on the depth .usually i could only do a 1/4 turn.sharp blades made the difference. clayton 77 donated the blades to me years a go but i know nothing about a planner till i needed to use it.i googled what i wanted to know.

Nice job. Teak must be really hard on the planner blades and the scrolls saw blades. You might as well try some Ironwood! LOL

That's what I'm hearing from the carpenter here in the ware house complex.Oh when i reversed the ones that were in the planner and have a new set on hand.doesn't take long to change them. Thanks for the info Earl!
