Scrappile Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 That is beautiful. I have always thought that is I get into intarsia that is one I would love to do. I have seen it done several times and it is one of my favorites. You certainly did it proud. Quote
meflick Posted May 29, 2017 Report Posted May 29, 2017 Wow Lee, an exquisite piece of artwork you have crafted. I have the pattern from Judy and I ordered some blue pine from the Handsome Woodsmen months ago to craft the heron from. Time and motivation have been lacking - perhaps I can get back to it now that I have seen your piece. If I can only do it half as well as yours I would probably be ok with it. Thanks for sharing. Just curious how was the service and wood from the Handsome Woodsman? He is in the Vancouver, Wa. area not real far from where my Daughter lives in Portland, Or. She has promised to take me there sometime this summer... Quote

The service and the wood from the Handsome Woodsman was great. I had seen several people on here and elsewhere recommend them - especially for the Blue Pine which is not easily found here in my part of the country (least wise that I found). Service was very prompt and was very happy with the pieces of wood that they sent. Only downside was the expense of the shipping its self as I recall. Quote
Scrappile Posted May 31, 2017 Report Posted May 31, 2017 Thank you I hope to get there this summer. Quote
Montserrat Posted July 4, 2017 Report Posted July 4, 2017 This looks absolutely wonderful! Something to aspire to! Quote
