Busy Busy Busy

Haven't posted any projects in quite a while.  But I have been working.  Lots of busy work outside, some RV'ing and scrolling when I get some extra time.  I just finished (Yesterday) the 2nd,  2nd Amendment plaque, that I sold.  They are ready to package and be shipped.  Just waiting on info on where and how to ship.  I think I am going to get off easy.  My son says I will just take it to a FedEx store and have them package and ship, hope that is true.  It will be charged to the buyer's FedEx account.

I have one more section to finish cutting on the third one that will go to the pistol shooting range which was the original intention of cutting the first one.  I kinda hope I never have to cut another..... The third one I am doing in Cherry versa the red oak.  I am anxious to see how it looks. 

Next project up is to do the Hamsa box for the Brazilian Pole Dancer.   I would really like to deliver that one in person.......

I picked up another challenge the other day.  Visited a friend that is one of the best segment turners out there.  He won "Best in Show' in the first show he ever entered.  I spent a couple hours in his shop, looking at all the marvelous turnings he has done and he explained how he set them up, puts them together, showed me all his jigs, etc.  It was a most interesting time.  This guy is so humble and quiet you would never guess his talent.  After we went to lunch, he threw me a challenge.  He said we need to make each other something to give to each other.  His will be on the lathe, mine on the scroll saw (he is also pretty darn good on a scroll saw).  I have no clue what to make him.  I am leaning towards a box, pattern from Finescrollsaw.com, the place I got the "Five Dragon Box" pattern from.   Not sure what to do.  Maybe I will just run.

Been follow the forums, even though my computer has been acting real sick.  I am getting horrible internet service.  Done everything I can think of to my computer, and the today all started working fine again.  Makes me think it is my service provider.  I am grandfathered at a cheaper rate and they want me to upgrade.  I'm thinking they are trying to prove the point to me.....

So I rattle on.  Sure miss my Heppner friend that moved to Arizona.
