munzieb Posted November 10, 2017 Report Posted November 10, 2017 We had a great time this summer with my nephew and family. They live pretty far away and won't get to see them for Christmas this year. My wife and I would love to give them a portrait of them from wonderful time when we visited them in Wilmington NC. It is a black and white copy so I hope that helps. Thanks in advance, Bernd Quote

munzieb Posted November 13, 2017 Author Report Posted November 13, 2017 Mahendra, I cut this pretty fast but once I pulled the pattern tape, it lifted some of the fibers of the 1/8" BBPW. I filled it will wood filler but color contrasted too much after I shellacked so I am almost finished with another copy with a framed version. I didn't do what I always usually do and that is to release the tape before hand with "Off" solvent. This time the fibers should stay put. I'll send another "betterer" picture when I'm done. Thanks again, Bernd Quote
multitom Posted November 14, 2017 Report Posted November 14, 2017 Bernd , Thank you for sharing and you have done a good job on the cutting:-) Quote
munzieb Posted November 16, 2017 Author Report Posted November 16, 2017 Mehendra, Here is my "betterer" version of your design. No tape/fiber problems this time. My wife cleaned up the original photo and marquee'd out the background. I took it to the UPS Store and they enlarged it and put it on canvas. It came out great! Thanks again for your help. Quote
