I just installed that font into Windows 10 and then opened Inkscape. It was there and opened just fine. You don't actually install fonts into Inkscape. You install them into Windows, whatever version you are using, and then Inkscape automatically picks them up when it opens the fonts folder.

It showed up in my word program and my drafting program.  Just not in Inkscape.

You may have to do a refresh or close Inkscape and then reopen it. Once it's open, it has already loaded all the fonts that are in Windows at that point in time. It has to be reloaded in order to pick up any new fonts. Give that a try and let us know.

Agree.  With a lot of things you "install", you need to reboot for it to show up.  Also, a number of years ago I messed up a few things on inkscape (I'm good at that :D), so I uninstalled inkscape, went to their site and installed it again.  It was a newer version, but I only saw minute changes.  IT EVEN HAD MY OLD WORK IN "Open Recent".

I loaded it many months ago, and have opened Inkscape quite a few times since then.  Still doesn't show up.  Maybe it will in a future version.  Till then, I will just have to print it out in Word and paste it onto my patterns from Inkscape.

Thats very strange. Have you googled for an answer? There is a reason and it's out there somewhere. You've got a setting wrong or something. Everybody else has gotten it to load so it's got to be your specific application. Maybe an inquiry to the Inkscape folks.
