EX 21 replacement parts

Hi Guys and Gals. I have an EX21, tonight the lower blade clamp stripped out on me, Does anyone know where I could order such an animal. I know General International has discontinued or replaced that saw. I'm in Canada, but would order from the US if I had to. Thanks for any help.

You might try King in Canada.  Their new King saw is suppose to be just like the Ex, if it is their clamps should fit.  But I agree with scrollerpete.  Seyco is the place.

Here is the parts diagram for the Excelsior from King Canada, I think they are the same as the Excalibur just different name.

The newest thing is the Pegas clamps for the Excalibur, Jet, and Seyco saws. I don't know if they are in Canada yet, but a number of US vendors have them. Google "Pegas Blade Clamps"

Thanks  for all the suggestions. I did call Seyco this morning and I did speak to Ray and the parts are on the way. He is very professional and  a wealth on knowledge  and filled me  me in on a few issues that I should look out for. Very pleased with the service. Thanks again for your help

I received a replacement EX21(china made) it is not much better than the first one.

Happy that G. I. replaced it, not happy with the higher speeds vibration. Wonder how long this Vibration issue will continue before it is addressed.

Have you tried adjusting the motor? Loosen the 3 screws and rotate the motor forward or backward. That changes the "agression" of the cut and in many cases the vibration. You can even remove the screws and rotate the motor to the next position. I have two EX "green" saws and had to make those adjustments but they are both great saws once tuned. The addition of the Pegas clamps also helped.

Hey Fred, Is your saw bolted to a Excalibur metal stand or you just use it on a benchtop etc? 

My China made saw had quite a lot of vibration too.. and it took not only mounting it to a stand and making sure the stand set with all four legs planted evenly on the floor in the spot where it was going to be parked at... Slight changes in the floor will still make the saw vibrate a little if the saw stand gets bumped and moved slightly.. doesn't take much to set off some vibration in a scroll saw.. some saws are more picky than others....   also do like Ray mentioned.. Once I tuned the saw and got it set up correctly it had very little vibration.. and what was there was even smoothed out some more by replacing the blade chucks with the Pegas brand ones..

Yes i did mount the saw on the stand that came with it. I also made sure legs were level . I added to the stand a shelf so i could add some weight.

 I have not tried the Pegas blade chucks. May have to do that.

Yes i did the motor move by loosening the screws.

I think i expected the EX21 to operate like my DeWalt smooth and quiet. Its one of the old saws.

I asked the Rep. from general International if it was a common problem for the China made Excalibur to have higher speed vibration. I received a email back form the General international 

Rep. I Quote "unfortcentley yes". So that is the latest update I have. I now have 2 China made Excaliburs in my shop.
