cmarsch Posted May 30, 2018 Report Posted May 30, 2018 (edited) Hey Everyone, As I am pretty savy with Inkscape for creating word art patterns, I am not so good with it in creating Images/Portrait Patterns. I have a request for a Word Art Sign with a portrait of a Lake scene in the pattern. I got the word art part down but have NO idea how to do the portrait part of it . I would love if someone could help me out with making the portrait part of the pattern. But here is the difficult request, to make my life easier I need it to be in the Vector format to apply it to the Inkscape pattern or JPG so that I can Trace it. Please if someone is willing to give me some assistance that would be awesome. Thank You So Much in Advance, Chris Edited May 30, 2018 by cmarsch Quote
Birchbark Posted May 30, 2018 Report Posted May 30, 2018 I'd like to help you Chris, but here is the problem. That image is really tough. Just to show you what we are starting with, all the white needs to be connected. Do you see how difficult that would be? I'm sure it could be done, but not sure if i could get to it this month. cmarsch Posted May 30, 2018 Author Report Posted May 30, 2018 Thank you for trying, I do see what you mean and that would be extremly difficult to even try to cut. Birchbark 1 Quote
multitom Posted May 31, 2018 Report Posted May 31, 2018 I gave it a try as well, but like Russell mentioned too many things to connect and a lot of time needed. cmarsch 1 Quote
worbler Posted May 31, 2018 Report Posted May 31, 2018 Another thing too. When you vectorize the large image, not the thumbnail above, the program will eventually crash as there is too much going on. I thought my PC was going to melt down with the amount of time it was taking to vectorize. From what I could see, when doing with the smaller one above, there is no real point in changing it to a vector image. Quote
