And I wasn't even asking for it.  I have been waiting for two month now to get scheduled for cataract surgery.  The reason it has been delayed is I also need to have stents inserted in my eyeballs, to help relieve the high pressure.  It is a form of Glaucoma, but a controllable type.  The reason for the stents is I have use eye drops so long to control it that they are loosing there effectiveness some what.  Anyway, have been waiting on a doctor that could insert the latest and great generation of stents.  This version probably would have eliminated the need to use eye drops.  Anyway, the Doctor called me yesterday (second time he has personally called me at home) and told me the manufacture of the stent had just taken them off the market.  Seems they have some unforeseen issue come up with people that have had them.  So I will go back to the second generation of stents,  that have been around a lot longer.  I may not be able to get completely off the eye drops with them but they have a very good history of helping significantly.  I may have dodged a bullet had things happen faster and I had had the newest stent.  

Now I just hope I can get scheduled soon, get things done and get back to being able to see well enough to scroll again....

Thanks guys, I am sure it will.  I just am a little impatient, because everything is fuzzy now, but cataract surgery will correct that.  I want so bad to be able to scroll again and I am going to take up some carving also.....  I know I won't be a master at it but I am the only one that has to see it.

Sometimes the latest-n-greatest isn't actually the greatest.  Just latest. 

 

Just got a new prescription for glasses, myself, hope this makes scrolling easier!

I had the cataract surgery about 2 years ago, now I only need glasses for close work.  I think you will like the results.  I now have at least 4 powers of glasses and when I need to work closer, I just get out the stronger lenses.  Won't need to get a magnifier light for my scroll saw!

Good to hear Paul.  Prayers that all can be done for you soon and you are back at the saw creating some beautiful work like you did before you had to stop.
