Just got rid of a PC virus

Had to do a restart on my PC a thing called think point came on my screen imitating a Microsoft scaning tool or ?? Don't click on it if you get it, it froze up my pc and I'm still having probs using my printer.if you do a google search you will see lots of posts relating to it. John aka qlty

three months ago i shut down my firewall and defender as i read that to much security is not good and slows down your computer.That was a big big mistake, anything mirosoft needs to stay there .I thought mcafee was all i needed as i was paying for the security.wrong. a trojon virius attacked my e-mail and was sending out bad e-mail with out my knowing it.I turned back on the defender and fire wall and found the virius right away.lesson well learned sorry to who ever got e-mail from me .

The thing of it is this window when it pops on your screen has a look a like of the 4 colored flag (icon of microsoft windows).John

this ,JOHN is one big problem for me to.You just don't know who who anymore.Wish i could help more but there's plenty of guru's here that have saved me so it looks like your next in line for the help.
