meflick Posted March 25, 2019 Report Posted March 25, 2019 I know that most of us that do Intarsia tend to post our completed projects over here in the Intarsia forum. Others, put them in the Bragging Section. I feel more comfortable putting them here because this is where I would come look if I was looking for Intarsia projects. That said, because I was posting some other things in the "Bragging Section" - I included this project in that thread so for some of you, you may see this one twice. I apologize. This is the Crescent Moon project from Judy Gale Roberts. It can be found on her site here: https://intarsia.com/products/i-357-crescent-moon and, if you subscribe or purchase copies of the Scroll Saw Woodworking & Crafts magazine, it was included in the Summer 2018 edition, Issue 71 starting on page 52 (pattern is in the pullout section.) I used blue pine, aspen, and walnut as I best recall. It was not a difficult project to do and she rates it for a beginner/intermediate pattern. I did have some minor problems when gluing it up, I dropped one piece and broke a "tip" of it, I think I repaired it ok but of course, I can see where the problem was. It's hanging on my wall so that's ok. Thanks for looking. I need to finish up my Mother and baby giraffe and Willie Nelson from my classes from last year. Hard to get back into it once you are away from it for a bit and move on to other things. (Plus all that sanding gets a little daunting after you have spent days on it and still need to do more! ) Karl S, Greg Slagle, Steve Curtis and 4 others 7 Quote
