Re: The last photo.  Decades ago, in Army basic training, we pitched 2 man tents on a very chilly night.  A strong wind & rainstorm came up.  2 guys had their tent blow over and got soaked, along with their belongings.  They spent the night soaking wet trying to sleep in the cab of a truck.
