kmmcrafts Posted July 31, 2019 Report Posted July 31, 2019 The average sales income on etsy for its sellers is $40,000 a year.. Much of what this person mentions in this blog post is very good info.. I don't rely on just Etsy for income.. etsy is a big part of the income.. but I also sell on Amazon and many other places along with selling on my own website.. which has only been around for 5 years.. but it's definitely gaining momentum.. Over the years I've had customers from Etsy ask if I sell anywhere else.. because they don't like purchasing on etsy.. I also use to get those that'd say.. you take any other payments besides PayPal.. apparently they've had a bad experience with PayPal.. so while there are people out there that'd rather purchase from a different venue or different payment method etc.. Not All People will go through the trouble to ask you.. so they may go search for the same product on another website etc.. happens a lot for me.. It's good to spread out and sell on other venues.. Not everyone shops / likes Amazon, eBay or Etsy.. If you sell $15,000 on etsy.. you can most likely double that by also selling on Amazon and or another venue.. Amazon, Etsy, and eBay are well known and will most likely bring you the most business.. you can gain business on other sites as well such as Artfire and Zibbet.. a new one was just launched too.. A.C. Moore has a handmade sales venue.. However it is just a spin off of a Zibbet store.. and you have to have a Zibbet account to sell on A.C.Moore.. Anyway, This is a good read..I've had a lot of folks as of late asking questions about selling online etc.. There is a lot of good info from other sellers like this person put up on their blog.. Doing some google searches on certain topics many times will bring you to some good info from other sellers perspectives etc.. Besides my own info I put out quite often on here.. https://www.unsettle.org/starting-an-etsy-shop/ meflick, namunolie, Ivan Nikolaev and 1 other 4 Quote
