American Flag

So here is the finished American Flag I made this weekend. Start to finish it took me about 12 hours total. Still waiting to put the 3 coats of interior/exterior clear coat on it. What do you all think of this? It measures (roughly lol) 37" wide by 19"ish tall and is 3/4" thick. It is stained, wood burned (with a torch) and then will be sealed in 3 coats of interior/exterior clear coat. Might even try to sign in on the back.

Thank you, it is Minwax Tintable Clear Water-based Interior Stain.

I'm assuming you tinted it?  Food coloring, or some other type of dyes?

I started back into woodworking a couple of years ago by taking wooden fence panels that were on the curb after a fence repair and making flags out of them, I never could find a good paint that looked nice and weathered like the boards.

These were purchased at Lowes. One is a True Blue and the other is Scarlett. I have also seen Navy Blue and Crimson used.

I bought a stencil off of Amazon. When I get home I will get the info for you JT.

Looks good.  I have made a few of these myself.  Even had to make a dreaded Pittsburgh Steeler's one for a guy.  One note if I may, if you make any more.. turn the star pattern around so the stars are pointing up.
