My DW788 is almost 5 years old. I scroll virtually every single day. With the DW the first thing, you must add in is a foot control switch. Then you will want to modify it so as you don’t have to stick a piece of 4x4 under the arm to change blades. If I had realized how much better the saw would perform after I took it apart and replaced the bearing grease with synthetic grease to reduce vibration and clatter I would’ve done it when it was new. Then changing out the clamps to Pegas clamps made it much better yet. Now, having done all of those things, I think Dewalt should’ve done them all to start with. No two ways about it, though the DW is better than new right now, I will move to a different saw soon. I would estimate that well over 90% of folks that have taken the Pegas plunge from Dewalt are raving about how much better they like the Pegas.

Having nothing to compare to,  I'm happy with my gifted DW 788. Can't beat a free saw. Especially nice since installing the Pegus clamps. Thanks Art Crafters.
