im thinking about getting this cnc laser engraving machine

ok guys im thinking about getting this 300mW blue cnc laser engraving machine, its on sale right now from 499.99 to 299.99... iv had spike read the stuff on the sight but hes still not sure..for one thing it dosnt come with the girdboard they show on  the sight and you have to build it....but the sight says they have great support.... I guess were just a little over our heads...like I said its on sale now and id like to order it before it gos off sail and is  again 499.99.... do any of you guys know anything about this machine and weather it would be a good perchise for me to make?  like I said I don't know when the sale will end so  of course I want to just order it and get it....but spike is more sensible then me I guess so could some of you check this out real fast and s ee w hat yu  think about it thanks

Right off the batt $299 for a 300mw laser is nuts,  Did you mean 3000mw?

1. How comfortable are you with Gcode?

2. There are several NEJE based lasers on the market,  this one has a more standard controller

3. I bought KKMoon 7w, It is easy to use but for the most part uses a proprietary control software. I should have done better homework before my purchase. It will engrave an area about 6 x 6 inches. 

The laser power that are published are a bit misleading. The 7 or 20 watt ratings is the power the unit consumes NOT the laser output.

These machines are meant for engraving NOT cutting.  This is an example of what I am doing with my engraver. I engraved the name plate and the cut the perimeter on my SS.

Just remember you will need software to run it which unless it's free it's expensive and a big learning curve. look up youtube videos and get as much info as possible first I've never seen it before so no help.

sorry I didn't see these messages soon! I didn't buy that cnc machine because spike looked it up on better busness and it got a terrible rating!  right now we have put a cnc machine on hold...meaning were waiting to investagate buy one until a latter date... my youngest daughter and her husband are planning to move to Maryland some time next month … when we don't know... iv asked them how they plan to do this.. as they each have a car to get there plus all there stuff!! they THINK one of her husbands friends will come down to help … that's it no other information and no real plans made....so were thinking we might have to help  them move with our van...but even our van isn't big enough for all there stuff...when I  asked about it they just well we can rent a truck?  no idea of how big a truck or who would drive it sine they have 2 cars to get there...so basically right now nobody it seems knows what they need to move , who might help them besides me and spike and as of right now they don't even have a place to MOVE TO !!! so for now like I said everything is on hold as I might have to use my money to help them move....neither one is working right now since the govener has close almost everything down....and they had to borrow money from me to buy groucys and pay bills so how they plan on doing this move is beyond me...every time we ask them about these things my daughter just says it ll be fine... lol her pat answer for most everything is it'll be fine... geezz don't know why im worried about them moving so far from home?  I like her husband but since he moved in with her she has had to borrow money from me...about 800 dollars off and on to pay bills and buy food and I don't know how many times shes done her food shopping at my house....but....it'll be fine!! gezz I don't know why I have snow white hair!! I just hope his family will watch over them because Maryland as I have told them is a bit far for me to take food or  send money right away... when they need it...but... it'll be fine...  when if im able to buy one I don't knowif they make any that not only ingraves but cuts to...I don't know how long i'll be able to countue wood working as my health deterates…. even if its just an engraver it will help me bulid up stock besides hopefuly being fun to use... but when we do start looking again...its nice to know I can put a link up here to what were looking at and have someone or several someones  go to the sight and take a look as neither me or spike really know anything about these machines... again sorry it took so long to answer this message but it didn't come up in my messages thingy... I just figured you guys had decided you would rather not get involved in helping to buy a cnc machine...whih is fine
