Hello,
I cannot give much advise on this machine but, as I read the info on one advertised on Amazon
I wonder how easy and how expensive the up-grade they mention here is

Great for beginners. Upgrade from 128MB to 1G Capacity.

Also, the machine would be more versatile if it supported BMP and JPEG files as well as the GRBL free program.
I do NOT know if any of these machines have that capability. The reason I even mention it is because I am not
very computer literate and I know I can manipulate BMP and JPEG images with programs like GIMP and PHOTOSHOP
and I do not know how much of a learning curve there is to using GRBL programs.

God Bless! Spirithorse

I would read the reviews on Amazon and go from that I suppose.. The price is great for a beginner toy to see if it's something you want to lean and expand upon...

I'm no CNC guru... though I do have one.. I'm limited on what I know because I don't get a lot of time to play on it..Some things just quickly looking through the reviews that stood out to me was the program is limited.. On a different post on Facebook ( maybe different brand and model ) someone asked about these cheaper units and it was mentioned that it wouldn't accept the larger 1/4" router bits.. more like little dremel style bits and that it was under powered.. the spindle was more like a dremel motor, LOL

On the subject of the CNC.. and I mentioned that I have a Next Wave brand that is a USA made ( Ohio ) and that Johnsons Workbench sells and supports them.. They are running a sale on them.. The smallest one is around $800.. comes with the same software the bigger guys use so if you was to upgrade you have no issues learning a whole new program..  Sales and service is only about 30 minutes away from you.. That said though.. the Next Wave machines do not come with a spindle or router.. so add that to the price if you do not already have a palm router to mount into it.. The software that comes with the Next Wave is from Vetric.com ( V-carve Desktop or V-carve pro ) they have many how to videos and a online forum.. Many many YouTube vids on running them and the programming etc.. Do research.. a CNC is not a fun toy IF you don't get along with computers very well, LOL

These tiny machines are very limited to what they can carve and bits you can use, if it was me I'd save money and great a bigger machine I have the shapeoko 3 and believe me I wish I had bought the bigger version still it depends on your budget. They are a steep learning curve on the software feeds and speeds etc but I have learn't never give up and you will succeed.

I was a beginner at 66 years old and your never to old and as it's a cheap version your not going to loss a lot.

Check out YouTube etc and join a cnc forum learn as much as you can first. Roly
