Smitty54 Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 I got this saw off a buy sell and trade for $25 plus the stand. I’m doing my first ambitious job on it. It is supposed to take pin end and plain end. I have been using the pin end. I tried Plane ends . It took over half an hour to get the plane ends in the first time. Just about the same the second time. It is impossible to get the blade vertical. There is no way to make sure the top of the blade and the bottom of the blade is in the holders straight up and down. My question is am I missing parts or is this just not gonna work? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 Not sure if this will help but there is a new product on the market that I think will solve your problem. I saw it on Steve Good's blog site yesterday. There is a video all about it. A $20 setup that will make life easier. Check it out. Quote
kmmcrafts Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 Wish I could remember how the blades went in on that saw as I had the same saw for about a month or so while I rebuilt a old delta 40-560 two speed saw. That was back in 2005-6 so it’s been a while, lol Maybe some tips on YouTube? OCtoolguy 1 Quote
OCtoolguy Posted July 14, 2020 Report Posted July 14, 2020 I went to Steve's blog site. Here is a link to a video he posted that shows the kit I was talking about. And here is how to buy it.http://stockroomsupply.ca/shop/scrollamerica-premium-scroll-saw-blades/scrollclip-quick-change-blade-system-sc16.html Quote
